ABOUT Candice

Candice brings over 20 years of underwriting counsel experience. Her commercial transactions have included land acquisition, new construction and related financing, educational facilities, multi-use projects, distribution centers, multi-site transactions, apartment complexes, industrial, hotels, solar farms, hospital, and Pari passu transactions. She is a commercial real estate attorney licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina. Candice has worked in the industry since 2002 when she left private practice to work as an underwriting counsel with LandAmerica Lawyers Title. From 2004 to 2022, she worked as an underwriting counsel for The Title Company of North Carolina and served as their president and chief executive officer from 2013 to 2022. Candice was North Carolina State Manager and Counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company from 2013 to 2024.
 
Candice was a member of the North Carolina Land Title Association from 2006 to 2009 and served as its president in 2009. She was a representative on LiensNC, LLC from 2018 to 2024. Candice earned a BA in English from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her JD from Wake Forest University School of Law. She and her husband Jack reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
